New Pinky Footage 2010

The best of the year 2008 House

Here's a list of media, places and books that have marked the year 2008.
Best Album:
Boris "Smile " : a group of young Japanese who play heavy rock and precise, melodic and savage. Production shifted slightly surprises by its choice (alternation of fast and slow songs, long and short, sharp songs at the end). To elect this record, I am based on the pleasure to come back constantly, burn it to others, etc..
The best book:
Tied Richard Yates " Revolutionary Road " (Panoramic View in French) and Patrick Hamilton " Hangover Square ".
The first is one of the best books ever written on the couple. The daily and desires, ambitions buried and difficult choices. The first page gives you the tone from the outset: I think a good novel should always start as well.
The second is a description of vitriol of London pubs in the 30s. People living in this culture where the scammer alongside the alcoholic, the prostitute's lover disappoints idle. It's beautiful!
Best concert:
Boris to Ancient Belgium with Growing first part. A great moment in rock. A wall of amps Orange, young Japanese professionals and very serious; an emotion not always contained and mysticism-tinged grunge . The whole crowned by a thunderbolt for the guitarist Wata ...
The best place:
T'Smiske in Asse. A small concert venue 15 minutes from Brussels to find small groups. The place has a soul, a fireplace and a craft beer at the price of lager . Extramuros is the name of their concert series. I go with pleasure and I am looking for friends to reduce the environmental bill of my travels ...
The best conference
Philippe Meirieu . Opening the aggregation This new year (2008-2009). The man we spoke without notes for nearly a pedagogy of freedom. A path consistent and relevant by an orator of talent.
The best change:
Become everyday cyclist. One small step for the land but a big step for my lifestyle. I feel good bike. Free ...
The best expo / visit:
The Zentrum Paul Klee in Bern (Switzerland). Without doubt one of the finest museums in the world. Why? Renzo Piano's building is magnificent: a wave that enters the earth. The Museum is not too big. The temporary exhibitions (not as the Museum's permanent collection has works too) are made wise choices. Do not miss ...

Holidays in Koh Samed Beautiful photos of China

The past week I went to Koh Samed for the first time. Two friends, expatriates also be celebrating their wedding and I was about forty guests from Australia, Canada, Malaysia and even China.

Koh Samed Island is quite different from Phuket or Koh Samui. It looks more like Koh Chang, but the charm is not the same. Koh Samed is smaller, the roads are unpaved (and therefore dangerous to travel by motorcycle) and the price range to accommodate is not as varied as Koh Chang. I think we can hardly find a bungalow for less than 600 baht a night, but I have not yet fully explored. The beaches are beautiful and you can walk them through narrow paths or along the coast (there is unfortunately empty plastic bottles).

Van Doern Stayed at Villa on the beach Deuan Wong (middle east coast) for 1200 baht per night. Good and clean, even if staff had a very limited English. Ao Wong Deuan is a place to relax with good food, but the nightlife is almost nonexistent. I'm not too visited the main port in the north of the island except for the big party in post-marital Naga.

One advantage of this island is the shortest distance between Bangkok and Samed. A little over 3 hours by bus. The duration for Ferry varies depending on the track where you go Vouzas but the average is peurt-be 30 minutes. If you're seasick, do not forget to take your pills!

Another bit of advice. If you do not drive an ATV (All Terrain Vehicle), do not improvise "flying ace". Three friends have accidents and have each paid about 20,000 baht for repairs ...

What Percentage Should My Body Be Muscle

Last week, I discovered a wonderful website that contains hundreds of photos of China's modern architecture, traditional buildings, nature, landscape, cities, art and even photographs of Chinese stars. I urge you to take a look: www.chine -photos.com.

I was especially struck by the photos of Tibet and Gansu. I already feel the seeds of a future trip. Enjoy the pupils!

New Year in Koh Chang

was my second stay in Koh Chang and it probably will not last. I went budget this time by staying near Lonely Beach, Tree House specifically. Very basic bungalow with mattresses on the floor and mosquito netting. Nothing else. The price? 180 baht per night. Shower in cold water with a bucket of water and shared toilet, which might discourage some, but not me. The food in the restaurant was excellent and affordable.

Do nothing or almost. What fun! Lying in a hammock with a good "Mango Shake" and a book, watch the ocean, daydreaming. Then take a good shot sun by the "tower" of the island by motorcycle.

Towards the end of my vacation, I met a Thai family. We went together in Long Beach, south-east of the island, taking a very rough road with their 4x4s. This is a beautiful place with nothing else around, a long beach with only a few people. The evening, cons, there were huge gusts of wind that shook my bungalow.

I returned to Bangkok sitting in the back of the pick-up of the Thai family.
